Polystyrene Ceiling Lamp

Polystyrene Ceiling Lamp is produced from dissolving recycled polystyrene with acetone and overlayed onto a transparent balloon to dry. The mixture of polystyrene and acetone creates a new material that is of gooey texture at first but proceeds to become hard but fragile due to the evaporation of the acetone. This material allows for the creation of new form and function from the original materials while adding new material properties.
